Did you know that almost a third of our food ends up in the trash? Decide today, because the alternative to food waste lays in your hands:
Clever planning with Bring!
Planning is everything! Not only at work or during your leisure activities, but also for your weekly grocery shopping. Think carefully about what you need for today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow before(!) you go shopping. The best thing to do is to compare your stock with the Bring! Shopping list and – important – insist on buying only what is on it. That way you’ll avoid unwanted double stocks, won’t let yourself be seduced by mean impulse buying, and even save money.
Did you know? Properly stored, foods last much longer. Carrots, for example, stay fresh and crunchy when kept in the fridge wrapped in a damp towel. Also keep in mind that the refrigerator is not a uniform climate zone! Find out about the “refrigerator hierarchy” and where which foods are best kept.
Don’t let the shelf-life hysteria scare you away, because your senses are usually enough to see if something is still fresh. Don’t worry, “Use until” doesn’t mean “Harmful from”!
